Howzit?! I’m a mom to 2 energetic kids, wife, physiotherapist and trailrunner. I love to hang out with my friends and use my creative side to create new projects. I was born in Johannesburg and moved to Cape Town when I turned 5 years old and grew up in Claremont in the Southern Suburbs. I am the youngest of 3 children with an older sister and brother. I took a gap year after high school and went to the United States of America as an au pair. Thereafter I returned to Cape Town to study for my physiotherapy degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). After my community service year I married Glen (also a physiotherapist – fun story of how we met…) and we decided to go on an adventure to the UK for 4 ½ years. We settled in the beautiful Northwest England in the historic walled city of Chester. In 2011, we returned to Durban, bought a house, got 2 dogs, 2 cats and had 2 children. I went on to study my Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2012 (while pregnant with my first child Joshua) and completed it in 2014 before having Jennifer in 2015.
I have been so blessed in my physiotherapy with regards to experiences and travelling – I went to Malaysia with the SA Touch Rugby team in 2019, I toured with the U18 Welsh Girls Hockey team, was an occupational physiotherapist for a Vauxhall (Opel) assembly plant as well as taking care of the dancers for the Hammond School in Chester. My passion is to help people in any way I can with a particular focus on assisting runners to thrive. This led me to develop my Running Assessment.
I now have my own practice at Morewood, Hillcrest and treat a variety of patients at my facilities there. I love to run all the local trails and I am a keen ambassador for the trail running community.
I regularly write for Run Life and Trail Magazine South Africa, and recently I won the shorts category in a video competition with my video Finding Peace on the Trail in 2019.
I have the privilege of representing Balega as a Balega Impi. Balega has the most incredible technical running socks and they also support amazing causes. Check out their website.

I have had the privilege of being the physiotherapist for Matthew once he returned home after a complete heart and bilateral lung transplant. Read his story here…
New addition to the family……MEET STORM.
Storm is a Tricolour Border Collie. I cannot wait for the next few months as I slowly introduce him to running alongside me. I am looking forward to learning how to train him well and to having a companion with me on all my travels.
